You have received an email as a reminder that you are required to pay an application fee in order for your application to be processed.

If you have already made your payment, especially through a bank transfer, it's possible that we have not yet received your payment. If your status in the "Application fee" tab has not changed after 10 days, please contact University Admissions. Be sure to have as much information ready as you can regarding how and when you paid your application fee.

The application fee process

An application fee of 900 SEK (Swedish kronor) must be received by the deadline indicated on the 'Application fee' page, in order for your application to be processed. Any payments received after the deadline will result in your application status being changed to late. Late applications are only processed at the discretion of each university, if there are places available.

One application fee per semester

Students pay one application fee for each semester they submit an application for. It doesn't matter how many courses or programmes you have applied to in that semester, or if you have applied to different admissions rounds in that semester – you pay 900 SEK.

Payment methods

The best method to use is to send in your payment electronically on this website, using a credit or bank card. It is the quickest and most secure way of getting your payment to us. During the electronic application process, you will be prompted with a 'To payment' button.

Please note that we can only accept payments from a Visa (regular Visa and Visa Electron) or MasterCard (regular MasterCard and Maestro).

In order to see the 'To payment' button and proceed to the card payment page, you must read the terms and conditions and check the box indicating that you read and agree to them.

After you submit your payment, you will receive a pop-up message regarding the success of your transaction. If you see an error message, please follow the instructions given. In most cases, any problems with your transaction will require you to contact your bank.

Your information on the 'Application fee' page will be updated when your payment has been received.

Paying by bank transfer

Students who do not have a credit or bank card available can pay their application fee by transferring funds from the bank of their choice to University Admissions in Sweden. We do not recommend that students who have access to a card use this method as it takes longer, is more complicated, and is less secure.

Here are the steps to follow if you will be making your payment via bank transfer:

  • Log in to your account on and go to the 'Application fee' page under 'My pages'.

  • Find your reference number and write it down. You MUST use this reference number when arranging the transfer of funds. Please be sure you use the reference number that matches the semester you are applying to and paying a fee for.

  • Next, you need information regarding name of recipient, the bank to send the funds to, and the account information. You can find this information on the 'Application fee' page. At the bottom of this page, there is a button 'To bank payment'. You must read and understand the terms and conditions and check the box indicated, then click on this button. There you will find all the information you need – print out that page.

  • Select the bank you wish to use and take your printed and filled out information sheet with you.

  • Inform your bank that you wish to transfer 900 SEK (Swedish kronor). It is best that we receive the funds in Swedish kronor.

  • If your bank cannot transfer Swedish kronor, they must transfer the funds in a currency amount which is the equivalent of 900 Swedish kronor. You are responsible for paying all fees associated with this transfer so that the final amount received at University Admissions in Sweden is 900 SEK.

  • Inform your bank of the payment deadline date and let them know that University Admissions in Sweden must receive your payment by that deadline.

  • Inform your bank that they must include your reference number with the transfer. This is very important! Without a reference number, we will be unable to match your payment with your application. We will not be able to credit you for your payment and will not return the funds.

Paying with your Swedish bank account by BankGiro

Students with a bank account in Sweden can pay their application fee using the same method as they use when paying other bills. Please be sure to indicate your reference number when you send your payment via BankGiro. You can find our account number on the 'Application fee' page. At the bottom of this page, there is a link to payment via a bank. You must read and understand the terms and conditions and check the box indicated in order to click on this link. There you will find the information you need – copy it down.
