If you don’t meet the English requirement with your upper secondary or university studies, you must demonstrate your proficiency with an internationally recognised test.

IELTS Academic

Please note that we do not accept IELTS General Training.

Academic modules

For English 7: an overall mark of 7.0 and no section below 6
For English 6: an overall mark of 6.5 and no section below 5.5
For English 5: an overall mark of 5.5 and no section below 5.0

Submitting your IELTS test results

You can upload a scan of your original IELTS Academic results using the document uploading function on this website. You can also send a copy of your test results to us via regular post.

Your results will later be verified online, so the copy of your test results is sufficient documentation.

Paper-based

For English 7: Score of 4.5 (scale 1-6) in written test, total score of 600
For English 6: Score of 4.5 (scale 1-6) in written test, total score of 575
For English 5: Score of 4.0 (scale 1-6) in written test, total score of 530 

Internet-based

For English 7: Score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 100
For English 6: Score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 90
For English 5: Score of 17 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 72

Submitting your TOEFL test results

Please follow these steps to verify your TOEFL results:

  • Notify Educational Testing Service (ETS) that you wish to make your scores available to University Admissions in Sweden. Our institution code is "Sweden 3477". You can choose any school type and department for University Admissions.
  • Submit a copy of your test taker score to University Admissions, either by uploading a scan of the original document or through regular mail.

University Admissions will then be able to verify your score online. If your score cannot be verified, it will not be accepted.

Are you living in China?

Students in China cannot download the pdf of their test taker score. Specific instructions can be found on your country information page:

Submitting your Pearson results

Please submit a copy of your Test Taker Score Report.

Having your Pearson test results accepted requires the following steps:

  • Submit a copy of your test results to University Admissions, either by uploading a scan of the original document or through regular mail.
  • Your test scores must be verified. Contact Pearson and arrange for them to assign your test result to “University Admissions in Sweden”. This will enable University Admissions to verify your test score online. Please note that this process can take time, so arrange this as soon as possible if you already have test results to report. University Admissions will not accept results that can’t be verified.

For English 7: C2 Proficiency (CPE), or Cambridge English: Proficiency (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

For English 6: C1 Advanced (CAE), Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English), or Cambridge ESOL Level 2 Certificate in ESOL International, Level C1

For English 5: B2 First (FCE), or Cambridge English: First (First Certificate in English) grade A, B or C

  • You must submit a scan/copy of your Certificate. A Statement of Results cannot be accepted.
  • Upload a scan of your original test results using the document uploading function on this website. You can also send a copy of your test results to us by regular post.
