Most countries have special information for academic qualifications. The ones that do are listed below.

Special information and instructions for bachelor's applicants means what types of qualifications that are accepted, or how your academic qualifications should be submitted to University Admissions. You can also find information regarding the English requirement. If you do not find your country listed on this page, you should follow the general instructions found in Step 1 of this section.

Countries where upper secondary transcripts must be sent directly from the upper secondary school (high school)

If you have upper secondary qualifications from the United States - or a foreign high school with American accreditation - you must have your qualifications sent directly to University Admissions from your school. This includes transcripts, certificates and diplomas. All other documents in support of your application can be uploaded. Do not send a cover sheet to your school for them to include when they send your qualifications - this could result in your academic documents being rejected.

Countries where upper secondary documents must be submitted via regular post

If you have upper secondary qualifications from Afghanistan, Bhutan or Maldives, you must submit your qualifications via regular mail - you cannot upload them. This includes transcripts, certificates and diplomas. All other documents in support of your application can be uploaded.

Be sure to include a Cover Sheet when sending any documents via regular mail.

Qualifications information specific to your country

If you have upper secondary qualifications from one of the following countries, you can find specific information regarding acceptable qualifications, English requirements (only for some countries) and specific application instructions when you click below.

Please note: The documents listed in the countries below are the most common upper secondary (high school) certificates, but we also accept other types of studies and certificates. Among these are vocational studies, older leaving certificates, etc. In general, if the studies you completed in a previous country make you eligible for university studies there, they most likely will make you eligible for university studies in Sweden.

In addition to the academic qualifications detailed in the country links, applicants must also meet the general and specific entry requirements and follow the requirements for sending in documents.

If you do not find your country listed, please follow the general information for all applicants in Step 1 as there is no specific information or specific instructions for you to follow.
